2009 #1 - Bentos

I'm new to blogging but think maybe I'll like it. I think I'll start my focus on bentos because I'm trying to keep track of what I'm putting in them each day. I love bento boxes and will be making them for my almost adult children and me every day. Here's what I did today:

Molly got:
  • mini-bagel with cream cheese, peanut butter, nutella, sliced bananas & honey
  • broccoli slaw salad with pine nuts, bacon, and dried cranberries
  • fresh blueberries - 6 picks, 3 on each pick
  • a few bitesize pieces of chicken teriyaki from www.JustBento.com

Julie got:

  • 2 T. smoked almonds
  • 1/2 cup homemade fried rice
  • 1/2 cup sugar-free fruit salad
  • 4 shrimp & onion fritters (very small in size)
  • 2 chicken BBQ onigiri

I'll also start packing a bento for my son tomorrow as his college classes start them. I may start taking pictures of some of these if I have time and post here as well.
